UDA candidate woos Malava voters with projects as campaigns hit homestretch
By Mabonga Makhanu, November 4, 2025United Democratic Alliance (UDA) candidate for the Malava parliamentary seat has vowed to finish all projects initiated by the late Malulu Injendi should he clinch the seat in the upcoming November 27, 2025, mini-polls.
While speaking in Shibanga Chemuche Ward on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, in the company of President William Ruto’s aide, Farouk Kibet, who braved the morning cold to help popularise his bid, he assured the Malava locals that all pending projects initiated by their late MP would be completed within the short period he will be in office before the 2027 General Elections.
He assured the locals that, in partnership with the governor, who was also present at the meeting, he would ensure they have water up to their doorsteps, just as Injendi had envisioned.

He also assured them that he would use his proximity to power, being a UDA-elected MP close to President Ruto, to increase electricity connectivity in the area so that every household is connected to electricity.
“Mimi nitahakikisha zile barabara ziliachwa na mheshimiwa Malulu zile za KERRA, nikisirikiana na MCAS, nitahakikisha zimeisha” Ndakwa stated.
Issue-based campaigns
David Ndakwa, who is a second-term Member of the County Assembly (MCA) in Kabras West, has vowed not to use his platform to criticise his opponents but rather to air out the objectives and manifesto he has for the people of Malava.
He went on to criticise his rivals, saying they have resorted to desperate measures by dragging the President and other leaders aligned with him, such as Farouk, into their campaigns instead of telling the electorate what they plan to do for the people of Malava.
He emphasised that he will run an issue-based campaign and not poke holes at his opponents.

“I do not want to speak about or mention anyone else I am competing against for this parliamentary seat. I will speak about my agenda. When others come, they mention me, Farouk, or Ruto instead of telling the electorate about their own plans.” Ndakwa stated.
These statements come amid heated campaigns in Malava Constituency ahead of the by-election, with both camps actively pitching tents in the area to popularise their preferred candidates.
