“In the coming by-election, we strongly urge the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to ensure that the process is free, fair, and credible,” Mwago said.

He emphasised that the credibility of the electoral process is essential for maintaining public trust in democratic institutions.

“The integrity of our democracy depends on transparent management of elections where every vote counts and every voice is heard,” he added.

Mwago urged the commission to uphold the highest standards of professionalism in all its operations, emphasising that impartiality, transparency, and accountability are essential pillars of a credible electoral process.

He noted that only through such integrity can the commission inspire public confidence and ensure that the final results truly represent the sovereign will and voice of the people.

“The IEBC must uphold the highest standards of accountability, impartiality, and efficiency to guarantee that the will of the people is genuinely reflected in the outcome,” Mwago noted, appealing to both the commission and political stakeholders to respect democratic norms during the electoral exercise.

The call comes at a time when citizens across the country are increasingly focused on ensuring that by-elections are conducted fairly, free from manipulation or undue influence.

By reinforcing the need for a transparent and credible election, Mwago’s statement seeks to encourage voter confidence and participation, ensuring that the upcoming by-election reflects the genuine choice of the people.
