“I who attended the burial of the late Dorothy Baya Mweri, mother of Kilifi North MP Hon. Owen Baya Yaa, in Dabaso Ward, Kilifi North Constituency,” he dsaid.

“While there, I spoke firmly against sections of the opposition who are trying to divide Kenyans along tribal and regional lines ahead of the 2027 elections. I warned that such politics is driven by selfish interests and risks tearing our country apart,” he explained.

“Drawing from Shaaban Bin Robert’s Kusadikika, I reminded Kenyans that we must act before a crisis not after it happens. If we wait to be bitten by a snake before looking for a stick, we will have already failed our country,” Wetangu’la explained.

Meanwhile, Wetangu’la further encouraged leaders to reject tribal discrimination as Kenya belongs to every citizen.

“I urged all leaders to reject tribal discrimination and to remember that Kenya belongs to every citizen. I gave the example of a former Sergeant-at-Arms from the small Elmolo community near Lake Turkana, who rose to the highest level through hard work and merit,” he added.

Similarly, while drumming up support from the Coastal region for President William Ruto, he asked the region to embrace unity among communities.

“I also called on the Coast region, which has long supported the late ODM Leader Raila Odinga, to work together with President William Ruto in promoting unity among communities,” he explained.

“To me, the “Singapore dream” is not about a journey to land of Singapore but it is about improving our lives through better roads, access to water, quality healthcare, and peaceful coexistence. I also reminded Kenyans that building a strong required time and collective efforts referencing the tale of Rome which was not built in a day,” he added..
