Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna has announced the venue for the upcoming Linda Mwananchi rally in Nakuru.

Taking to his X account on Friday, April 17, 2026, Sifuna said the rally will take place on Sunday, April 19, at Mazembe Grounds.

He added that the event will run for three hours, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., and invited supporters to attend in large numbers.

“Program ni fupi Sunday. We can’t wait to fellowship and later engage with you. Tuonane,” Sifuna wrote.

The tour, led by embattled ODM Secretary-General Sifuna and Embakasi East MP Babu Owino, will begin with a church service at Kivumbuni PAG Church in Nakuru Town East from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

This will be followed by a “Mega Rally” at Mazembe Grounds in Nakuru Town West, scheduled for 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., marking the culmination of the tour.

Linda Mwananchi has already held rallies in Kitengela, Kakamega, Narok, and Mombasa, drawing large crowds and signalling growing national appeal. The movement is also setting up a coordination hub to streamline operations, messaging, and resource mobilisation.

The faction has rolled out a multi-pronged strategy aimed at connecting with voters at the grassroots level. Central to this approach is mapping the country into regions and tailoring policy messages to address specific local concerns.

Meeting ahead of Nakuru rally

The Linda Mwananchi Movement has held a high-level consultative meeting as part of final preparations for its upcoming political rally scheduled to take place in Nakuru.

According to a statement by Vihiga Senator Godfrey Osotsi on his Facebook account on Monday, April 13, 2026, the meeting brought together key leaders and coordinators who discussed mobilisation strategies, security considerations, and the overall agenda of the rally.

“I attended the high-level consultative meeting by the leadership of the Linda Mwananchi Movement, where we discussed plans to move our nation forward. We will not be silenced despite the state-sponsored intimidation,” Osotsi said.

Osotsi confirms his attendance

Osotsi had earlier affirmed that he will be there at the next Linda Mwananchi rally in Nakuru, which comes just days following his attack by his unknown assailants in Kisumu.

In a TikTok video on Friday, April 10, 2026, Osotsi called on Kenyans to be ready to turn up for the Linda Mwananchi Rally to be held on Sunday, April 12, 2026, in Nakuru County, saying that the ultimate goal of the faction is to make sure that President Ruto’s regime does not go beyond the 2027 general elections.
