Ruto’s politics is about destruction – Peter Kenneth
Former Gatanga Member of Parliament Peter Kenneth has dismissed Deputy President William Ruto’s presidential candidature in the August 9 general election claiming that he is not fit to lead the country.
Speaking in Dandora where the Azimio la Umoja brigade took their campaigns on Sunday, Kenneth asked residents not to vote for Ruto accusing him of being a politician of backward development.
The former presidential candidate, therefore, asked the residents to shun DP Ruto during the election and vote for ODM leader Raila Odinga whom he said will spur the country’s development once he clinches power.
“Ensure that on August 9 you vote for Raila. He will develop our country unlike his competitor (Ruto) who will destroy it,” Kenneth said.
Kenneth who also accused Ruto and his allies of abusing President Uhuru Kenyatta asked their supporters not to give the Kenya Kwanza brigade a chance to hurl insults at the president. He argued that those insulting the president are also abusing the people who elected him to office.
On his side, Siaya Senator James Orengo demanded that the Kenya Kwanza leaders give the president total respect.
Orengo, who was in the company of Raila during his trip to Europe, noted that even the international community are demanding that the Head of State and ODM leader be given respect. He also noted that the community has also approved the leadership of the two handshake partners.
“I was in London the other day and the people there know our local leaders. They know those leaders who are thieves and those who need to be accorded respect. They acknowledged that President Uhuru and Raila Odinga are some of the leaders who deserve to be respected,” Orengo said.
