Ruto says he is ready to account for all commitments to Kenyans
By Kiprono Keileb, March 12, 2026President William Ruto has emphasised the need for leaders to be judged on their delivery of promises and real development record. He highlighted that his government has worked to fulfil the commitments made in its manifesto over the past three years.
Speaking to residents in Kapsabet town, Nandi County, on Thursday, March 12, 2026, President Ruto has stated that his government has fulfilled all the promises as outlined in his manifesto.
“I am ready to account for every commitment I made to the people of Kenya. Over the past three years, we have fulfilled our promises as outlined in our manifesto,” he said.

The President pointed out the progress achieved across various sectors forms the foundation for the next election, where citizens will evaluate leaders based on tangible results rather than political slogans or divisive campaigns.
“Our visible and impactful development record sets the pace for the next election, where leaders will be judged on their track record or on an agenda that speaks to the needs of the people,” he said.
Ruto went ahead to criticise politics driven by personalities, tribalism, or empty rhetoric, noting that such approaches have historically slowed national progress and undermined unity.
“There will be no room for empty rhetoric, personality-driven, divisive, and tribal politics that have for far too long held our country back,” he stated.

The President concluded by presenting his local and national programme for transformation, stressing that government initiatives are designed to directly address community needs while building sustainable development for all Kenyans.
“Addressed residents of Kapsabet town, Nandi County, and outlined the local and national programme for transformation,” he conlcuded.
The president encouraged unity, reduced tribal divisions, and fostered national cohesion ahead of the next electoral cycle.
