ODM leader Raila Odinga’s campaign team has revealed that it is reluctant to reveal its campaign schedule to the public early enough fearing that their competitors in Kenya Kwanza Alliance might copy them.

This comes after the campaign team, last evening, came up with finer details of Azimio la Umoja rallies that are set for this week before confirming dates and venues for their events.

Reports, however, claim that the ODM boss is set to visit Deputy President William Ruto’s backyard in Rift Valley before setting the grounds in Western Kenya for a series of rallies in the coming days.

Responding to the reports, Raila’s head of campaign team Ndiritu Muriithi confirmed the rallies but declined to give finer details claiming that their competitors in Ruto’s wing were relying on their campaign schedules.

“When we release our schedule, the competitors adjust theirs. They are fond of copying us. You remember when we said we are supporting small businesses; they are now speaking the same language. When we said we are going to allocate more money to counties, they are now mobilising their MPs to push for more money to counties,” Muriithi was quoted as saying by The Standard.
