National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula hosted a delegation of local leaders from the Kabuchai constituency in Bungoma County on Thursday, June 5, 2025, at his office in the Parliament Buildings.

The meeting, which took place in the evening hours, underscores Wetang’ula’s ongoing efforts to bridge the gap between national leadership and local communities, particularly in his home county of Bungoma.

Taking to his official social media accounts, Wetang’ula revealed that the delegation comprised key figures from Kabuchai, including Protus Chichi, the Chairman of the Ford Kenya party in Chwele/Kabuchai ward.

“This evening at my office in Parliament Buildings, I had the pleasure of hosting a delegation of grassroots leaders from Kabuchai constituency in Bungoma County,” Wetang’ula stated.

Bonface Sululu Mangoli, a vibrant youth leader from the same ward, and Alex Juma Kisuya, who serves as both the Chairman of the Bungoma Boda Boda Riders and the Chairman of the Western Region Boda Boda Association, also attended the meeting.

“Among those who paid me a courtesy call were Mr. Protus Chichi, the Chairman of Ford Kenya Chwele/Kabuchai ward, Mr. Bonface Sululu Mangoli, a vibrant youth leader from Chwele/Kabuchai Ward and Alex Juma Kisuya, Chairman of the Bungoma Boda Boda Riders and also serving as the Chairman of the Western Region Boda Boda Association,” Wetang’ula wrote on X.

In images shared via Wetang’ula’s official X account, the leaders were captured in a formal setting, standing on a red carpet with the Kenyan flag and the East African Community flag—flanking the backdrop of the Government of Kenya emblem.

The photos depict Wetang’ula shaking hands with each member of the delegation, symbolising a collaborative spirit.
