Peter Kaluma calls for Kalonzo’s arrest over hate speech
Homa Bay Town Member of Parliament Peter Kaluma has asked for the arrest of the Wiper Party leader and former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka over what he terms as propagating hate speech.
Speaking while attending a church service at the Christ Ministry, Ciagi-ini and Ambassador of Christ in Mwea Constituency, Kirinyaga County, on Sunday, October 12, 2025, Kalonzo Musyoka said President William Ruto will not succeed in trying to divide the Agikuyu and Kamba communities ahead of the 2027 general election.

Kalonzo Musyoka insisted on uniting the Mount Kenya region, which has seen the rise of political leaders campaigning against the second term of President William Ruto in the 2027 election.
”They are looking for me because they think I can leave JB Muturi, Gachagua and Martha Karua ndio wakikuyu wanyoroshwe tena. Now, I have very bad news for them. I have bad news for Ruto, you cannot again divide the Agikuyu and Kamba communities, it is not possible,” Kalonzo said.
At the same time, while congregants alongside Party of Liberal Progress (PLP) leader Martha Karua and former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua launched a sharp attack on President William Ruto over his recent political alliances as well. “Nataka Wakenya wajue you will never separate Kalonzo from Rigathi Gachagua, Martha Karua, Justin Muturi, it is not possible, don’t waste any effort, because it is in our blood now,” he said.
”The message of today at The Ambassadors for Christ Ministry, Ciagi-ini Branch, could not have come at a better time. Taken from Isaiah 41:10, it reminded us that God says we should not fear, for He is with us and will give us strength. The preacher’s words, “Msiuziwe uoga,” were a deep reminder that fear is not godly,” Kalonzo added.

However, in a quick rejoinder, Homa Bay Town MP Peter Kaluma has described Kalonzo’s sentiments as hate speech, further calling for his questioning.
”Show me your friends and I’ll show you who you are. See what Kalonzo has become after associating with Gachagua for barely one year – miserable, desperate, rudderless, tribal bigot stoking ethnic wars among Kenyans! He must be arrested and prosecuted for tribal hate,” Kaluma said.
Meanwhile, Kalonzo Musyoka has lamented the continued intimidation faced by the United Opposition, accusing President William Ruto’s administration of dirty tricks to weaken the union.
