Pauline Njoroge sends warning after Ruto receives heroic welcome in Kiambu

Jubilee Party Deputy Organising Secretary Pauline Njoroge has cautioned the Mt Kenya region to be careful following President William Ruto’s latest tour of the area.

Taking to her Facebook account on Sunday, December 15, 2025, Njoroge shared a photo of the Head of State addressing a sea of supporters in Kiambu County, warning that the massive crowds could hand Ruto an easy ride in the 2027 General Election.

In her post, Njoroge suggested that the warm reception Ruto received in Mt Kenya was not accidental, arguing that the President understands the political language of the region and is deliberately playing to it.

William Ruto is back in Mt Kenya, and he knows what you people there like. He will give it to you well,” she wrote.

Njoroge went on to caution residents against what she described as self-deception, using a metaphor to argue that visible political enthusiasm sends powerful signals beyond the region.

According to her, the large turnouts, wild cheers and packed rallies are not only meant for local consumption but are being keenly watched by Kenyans from other parts of the country.

“As you keep lying to yourselves and everyone else that an elephant is not buried with its tusks, those massive crowds you form and the wild cheers you make are being watched by Kenyans from other regions,” she said.

Easy ride in 2027

Njoroge warned that such scenes could shape national perceptions, with other regions concluding that Ruto remains firmly in control of Mt Kenya and is therefore the frontrunner to beat in 2027.

She argued that this perception could push undecided leaders and voters to align with the President early in order to secure a place in the next government.

“If this man still has this level of command in Mt Kenya, then he is clearly the man to beat in 2027. In that case, why should we align with anyone else?” she posed.

The Jubilee official further noted that perception plays a critical role in politics, claiming that Ruto has mastered the art of combining strategy, financial muscle and loyal supporters to project strength.

“They say perception is everything in politics. The guy has the strategy, he has the money, and he has you, lovers of elephant tusks, to create the perception he needs out there,” Njoroge remarked.

She concluded with a cautionary note, urging Mt Kenya residents to stay alert and think beyond short-term excitement as the 2027 political contest begins to take shape.
