Osotsi: Jalang’o and Elisha Odhiambo have been ejected from ODM
Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Deputy Leader Godfrey Ososti has claimed that Gem Member of Parliament (MP) Elisha Odhiambo and his Lang’ata counterpart, Felix Odiwuor, alias Jalang’o, are no longer members of the party.
Speaking on Sunday, November 2, 2025, while accompanying Ruto in Vihiga County, Osotsi chided the pair for attempting to speak on behalf of the ODM party when, according to him, they had been dismissed from the party.
“I have seen some MPs stand here and talk about ODM. Our party has structures, and we recently gave out our positions. I would ask the president to address us through the established structure.
Kicked out
“When MPs like Elisha and Jalang’o speak, they cannot speak on behalf of the party. We ejected them from the party, and they cannot purport to speak on behalf of the party,” he stated.
Osotsi further implored Ruto to engage the party’s top leadership and not any individual associated with or pledging allegiance to the party.
“When you see Osotsi, that is an ODM representative. We are the people in the ODM Central Committee, as the top decision-making organ.

Osotsi’s remarks came after another ODM MP, George Aladwa, had voiced his affirmation for President Ruto and his broad-based arrangement.
Pro-Ruto MPS
Aladwa expressed his pro-Ruto stance, citing the broad-based pact between the president and the late ODM leader Raila Odinga.
“Let the people talk, but our stand is the one you agreed with Raila and ODM. The two-term is not something we will talk about. Your work is evident, and we are not afraid to say that,” he said.
The senator’s assertions come as the ODM party on Saturday, November 1, 2025, denied the existence of any pre-election pact with the ruling United Democratic Alliance (UDA).

The Secretary General reiterated the party would retain its identity, clarifying that the broad-based arrangement is not a party nor does it have candidates.
UDA-ODM pact
“The pact we made with UDA did not constitute a coalition agreement. I hear people going around saying there are broad-based candidates in the by-elections. Broad-based is not a party, and therefore, it has no candidates. Or else tell me what the broad-based symbol is,” he said.
His position was backed by Kisumu Women’s representative Ruth Odinga, who stated that the party will approach the upcoming by-election as a single entity and not in partnership with UDA.
