Siaya governor James Orengo has maintained that the mass action against President William Ruto’s administration, organized by Azimio la Umoja – One Kenya coalition and slated for Monday, March 20, 2023, is unstoppable.

Orengo argued that the ruling government has brought arrogance into leadership and hence can’t be allowed to continue ruling.

“Your days are numbered and we don’t fear anybody. We have been part of many political battles and so the oncoming one would be easy for us,” Orengo said while directing the verbal attack to President Ruto.

“We cannot allow arrogant leaders to lead our country astray. When you listen to Deputy President Rigathi Gachagwa speak anywhere in the country; one is able to detect his arrogance and he does little or nothing that concerns the interests of Kenyans,” Orengo added.

The governor said he will be on the frontline in leading Kenyans to remove the current regime from power and recalled how previous attempts led to their detention but they soldiered on.

“Those who detained Raila (Odinga) including persons who signed the detention order and judges who ruled against the former premier are no more but Raila is still alive and strong enough to deal with President Ruto,” Orengo stated.

The county boss was speaking during the burial of the late Mama Christine Achieng Oduor who is the mother of MCA Peter Oduor Basa of Ukwala Ward.

The governor was accompanied by Alego/Usonga Member of Parliament Samwel Atandi who noted that they will stand for justice and shared prosperity.

“On Monday, I will be in Nairobi and other parts of the country will equally join in the demonstration to register their displeasure with the ruling government that has scrapped subsidies on items that were benefitting the Kenyan citizens,” Atandi stated.

According to Atandi, public protests are allowed by the Kenyan constitution and Kenyans should not be duped by the Kenya Kwanza leadership.

“Kenyans who are dissatisfied with the performance of President Ruto and Gachagua’s regime shall launch the mother of protest on Monday and it will go forever if Ruto clings to power. The aim of the protest is to vanquish you from power,” he stated.
