ODM gears up for 20th anniversary, preparations to be discussed on X spaces

Ahead of the event, the party has scheduled an interactive discussion on X Spaces on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, to update the public on preparations and gather feedback from members.
In a statement shared on X on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, ODM outlined the schedule for the online conversation.
“Tonight on X spaces, we shall discuss the ODM at 20 celebrations scheduled for the Coastal City of Mombasa this weekend, from Friday, November 14 to Sunday, November 16. Hosted by our National Chairperson, Gladys Wanga, we shall have the host Governor (DPL) Abdulswamad Sheriff Nassir speak about preparations for the event, Senator Crystal Asige will talk about the involvement of Persons Living with Disabilities in the ODM activities, Kasmuel McOure will speak about the youth event, Perpetua Mponjiwa will speak about Women and their experiences, among others. The party emphasised that the discussions on X Spaces are an opportunity for citizens to engage directly with leadership and share ideas on how to make the anniversary celebrations meaningful.
It signals the party’s commitment to transparency and inclusivity as it commemorates its achievements.
Orengo on the Party’s milestones
Siaya Governor James Orengo, speaking on the party’s 20-year journey through a post shared on his X on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, said ODM has led a political and economic revolution for 20 years.
“The ODM party has led Kenya’s political and economic revolution for over two decades, championing democracy, good governance, and social justice. As we mark 20 years, we remain true to our mission, a lasting legacy to our fallen leader, Raila Amolo Odinga. Held a consultative meeting with county officials ahead of ODM at the 20 celebrations in Mombasa. Tuko Tayari!” the statement reads

The planned celebrations, running from Friday, November 14 to Sunday, November 16, will include forums for youth, women, and persons living with disabilities, reflecting the party’s long-standing commitment to social justice and equitable participation.
Through these initiatives, ODM aims to celebrate its history while engaging a new generation of Kenyans in political discourse.
