Muturi: Ruto must be held accountable for committing crimes against nation
Former Public Service Cabinet Secretary Justin Muturi has launched a scathing attack on President William Ruto and his administration, calling them out for betrayal, corruption, and plunging Kenyans deeper into poverty.
Speaking in Bisil, Kajiado County, during a rally on Friday, October 3, 2025, Muturi said he had chosen to address Kenyans without fear about the state of the country, adding that change would only come through accountability and the power of the vote.
“Today in Bisil, Kajiado County, I told our people the truth without fear. This country cannot move forward unless we sanitise the government. William Ruto and his regime have betrayed Kenyans, looted resources, and driven our people into poverty,” Muturi said.

Also watch: Muturi claims Ruto is a pathological liar who lies without blinking.
He argued that the country’s leadership had failed to protect citizens from hardship and instead enriched itself at the expense of the ordinary taxpayer. According to him, the only way to restore hope and justice was to hold Ruto personally responsible.
“We must send them home in 2027, and Ruto himself must be held accountable before the law for the crimes he has committed against this nation. That is the only way to restore dignity, justice, and hope for Kenyans,” Muturi said.
Voter Registration
Turning his attention to the 2027 General Election, Muturi reminded Kenyans that meaningful change could only be achieved through the ballot. He emphasised that voter registration was the first step toward reclaiming the country. “But for this to happen, every one of you must take responsibility. The first and most important step is to register as a voter. Without your vote, we cannot bring the change we desire,” he said.

Elsewhere, Senator Nyutu explained why IEBC is experiencing low voter registration turnout.
Muturi urged Kenyans to rise above despair and prepare to write what he described as a new chapter for the country. “I call on you: jitokeze, ujisajili. Together, we will reclaim Kenya from the grip of corruption and failed leadership. 2027 is our moment to write a new chapter, one of accountability, justice, and prosperity,” he added.
Muturi has positioned himself as one of the strongest critics of the Kenya Kwanza administration while rallying the opposition base toward the 2027 elections.
