Malalah hails DCP’s strong showing in Emurua Dikirr by-election
Deputy party leader for the Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP), Cleophas Malalah, has congratulated the party for its impressive performance in the Emurua Dikirr by-election, asserting that the South Rift is ready for political changes.
Taking it to his Facebook account on Friday, May 15, 2026, Cleophas Malala has applauded the DCP candidate in the elections, Vincent Rotich, for the impressive performance in the by-election. Rotich, by-election.
“Congratulations, Hon. Vincent Rotich, for emerging second in the just-ended, hotly contested Emurua Dikirr by-elections,” Malala stated.

After going through a tight race with 10,760 votes, Malala, in a statement, congratulated DCP candidate Vincent Rotich, who finished second.
But Malala said the outcome wasn’t a political battle; it was a declaration from voters looking for a new way to lead and govern.
“Garnering 10,760 votes is not only a mean feat but also a statement bold and precise that the South Rift is ready for change,” Malala said.
He also thanked Emurua Dikirr’s residents for their support for the DCP party and their acceptance of the DCP’s values and principles amidst strong political pressures during the campaigns.
The former Kakamega senator praised the voters for what he termed “courage in going against the tide” and called on them to show patriotism and dedication to the democratic change.
“Special thanks to the good people of Emurua Dikirr for believing in our candidate and the ethos of the DCP Party. Choosing to go against the tide; indeed, you are true heroes of our nation,” he added.
Malala also reiterated the party’s political campaigning message, “Skiza Ground”, which is still aimed at mobilising Kenyans ahead of the 2027 General Election.
He said the current administration was failing to operate in the spirit of law and that the opposition movement would keep agitating for reforms and accountability and that there were reports of impunity, corruption, wastage of public resources, abductions and state-sponsored violence.
The mantra of “our ‘Skiza Ground” will continue while we strive to free Kenya from the reign of impunity, corruption, plunder, wastage, abductions and state-sponsored murder.
