Lee Kinyajui assures Ruto-Mudavadi coalition of peace, political tolerance ahead of their much-hyped Nakuru rally

Nakuru Governor Lee Kinyanjui has on Tuesday January 25, 2022 welcomed members of the newly crafted coalition, that encompasses the United Democratic Alliance, Amani National Congress party and FORD-Kenya party, to Nakuru city.

The coalition, that brings together Deputy President William Ruto, Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula, is set to hold its maiden rally tomorrow in Nakuru County.

While assuring the foes-turned-friends of political tolerance and tranquility during their rally, Lee Kinyanjui reminded the trio that Nakuru residents however have the intelligence and capacity to make independent decisions as far as the Uhuru succession politics is concerned.

“We are informed that the Yellow team will hold the “mother of all” rallies in Nakuru tomorrow. In the spirit of political tolerance, we welcome them to Nakuru. As we have said in the past, the people of Nakuru have the capacity and intelligence to make their choices,” he stated.

The county chief, who is among high-ranking members of Raila’s Azimio La Umoja movement, ridiculed the leaders’ political marriage, telling them to enjoy the honeymoon while it lasts.

Ruto, Mudavadi and Wetangula are expected to kickstart their string of joint rallies in Nakuru before proceeding to Western Kenya and Central Kenya. The union has been touted by its supporters as a political shocker that has shaken Kenya’s political landscape.
