Ruto says Kenya Kwanza MPs will be trained table manners after embarrassment by senior leaders

By , September 16, 2022

President William Ruto has stated that Kenya Kwanza leaders will have a dining etiquette training session on Saturday, September 17, 2022.

Speaking during a retreat with Kenya Kwanza leaders in Naivasha, Ruto affirmed that it was important for the leaders to grasp some dining etiquette and that it will mentor other leaders.

“Tomorrow we are also going to have a session to show you a bit of etiquette. We want to show you what to do. Because sometimes we get embarrassed when senior people don’t even know how to hold a spoon or a fork,” he stated.

He also took issue with Members of Parliament (MPs) who fail to speak in parliament.

While encouraging legislators to speak for their people during parliamentary sessions, the first-in-command reiterated that lawmakers should utilize the opportunity granted to them.

“While you have the privilege to be a member of parliament, please make use of it,” he added.
