Kasmuel McOure reveals details of his latest meeting with Raila

Kasmuel McOure held a breakfast meeting with Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga ahead of his departure to the United States for a leadership summit.
During the meeting, McOure shared a comprehensive analysis prepared by the ODM Youth League, outlining the country’s situation during Raila’s time away.
Their discussion touched on several key issues, including the ongoing grassroots elections and the rising wave of civic protests across the country.
Just a day after their meeting, some of the concerns they had raised, particularly the growing incidents of police brutality, were confirmed by fresh events, highlighting the urgency of their conversation.
“During our conversation, I shared an in-depth analysis by the ODM Youth League on Kenya’s current state of affairs during his time away. We discussed, amongst many issues, our grassroots elections and the wave of civic protests sweeping across the country.
“Tragically, within barely a day, we witnessed a grim reenactment of the very concerns we raised, most notably, the brazen and escalating brutality by police,” Kasmuel stated.
Meeting with Tuju
On a separate engagement, McOure met with former Jubilee Party Secretary General Raphael Tuju on Wednesday, June 18, 2025.

During the meeting, McOure expressed his appreciation for Tuju’s mentorship, noting the value of engaging with someone who has served in various senior roles, including as a news anchor, Member of Parliament, and Cabinet Minister.
Their discussion centred on matters of national development, political organisation, and leadership.
“I had the pleasure of meeting Hon. Raphael Tuju, who has recently become an invaluable mentor. We discussed critical issues around nation-building, political organisation, and leadership.
“I gained deep insights from his vast experience spanning his time as a leading news anchor, member of Parliament, and cabinet minister. The most enduring lessons from our conversation were the importance of consistency and clarity of purpose in public life,” Kasmuel said.
McOure highlighted the importance of consistency and clarity of purpose in public service as key takeaways from the meeting.
Tuju’s low profile
Tuju, who has recently returned to public visibility, was spotted at the State House in June 2025 delivering a brief address.
He had also appeared earlier at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) on March 7, 2025, during the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between Raila Odinga’s ODM and President William Ruto’s UDA.
