Kameme presenter Njogu Wa Njoroge set to vie for MP seat
Kameme FM presenter Njogu Wa Njoroge has announced that he will be leaving radio to join politics ahead of August general election.
Speaking after meeting Deputy President William Ruto at the DP’s official Karen residence, Njoroge said he will be vying for the Njoro constituency seat on United Democratic Alliance (UDA) ticket.
“There is time for everything as the good book of the Lord says, and as I transition to the next phase of my life I ask for your prayers and support,” Njoroge said.
Welcoming Njoroge to UDA, DP Ruto said that competitive political participation is key to Kenya’s democracy.
“It is fulfilling to see more people including our friends in the media like Njogu Njoroge take their rightful position to be part of the conversation,” the DP said.
Njoroge said he assured the DP that he will work with him in UDA.
“I paid a courtesy call on Deputy President William Ruto and assured him we will work together in UDA in spreading the message of Bottom-Up in Njoro constituency where I will be seeking the people’s mandate to represent them in the National Assembly,” Njoroge said.
“Kazi ni kazi Njogu Wa Njoroge. You are a great and highly talented son of Rurii. Wishing you the best in your political endeavours. Karibu sana bro,” Kiharu Member of Parliament Ndindi Nyoro said.
