Kalonzo calls OKA meeting to explain his ‘Raila Tosha’ declaration

Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has called a meeting of One Kenya Alliance (OKA) principals to explain his decision to join Azimo La Umoja.

Kalonzo said the meeting is necessary to help his colleagues and supporters understand his move.

Kalonzo, and his Kanu counterpart Baringo Senator Gideon Moi, were the only OKA principals at the Azimio La Umoja Movement National Delegates Convention at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre in Nairobi on Saturday.

Narc Kenya’s Martha Karua, UDP’s Cyrus Jirongo, Farmers Party’s Irungu Nyakera and MDG party leader David Ochieng were absent.

Sources have told People Daily that some OKA principals are concerned that Kalonzo and Gideon may have duped them to sign “non-existent coalition agreement” knowing they were headed to Azimio. The views, according to sources, are shared by Narc Kenya, Farmers Party and MDG with only UDP backing Kalonzo’s decision.

“I spoke to Martha Karua today. Though she is with us in OKA, she is a bit uncomfortable with our union with brother Raila,” said Kalonzo.
