Deputy Governor Martin Moshisho has said the Kajiado county leadership has delivered on its mandate and remains committed to transforming key sectors, including land, education, water access, and youth empowerment, urging residents to consider giving them another term in office.

Speaking during an interview with K24 TV on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, while reflecting on his working relationship with Governor Joseph Ole Lenku, Moshisho said the leadership has come a long way in implementing its development agenda since being entrusted by the people of Kajiado.

He noted that the electorate gave them an opportunity to serve because of a clear plan focused on addressing long-standing challenges affecting the county.

Agenda for transformation

Moshisho said the county government has prioritised key development areas aimed at improving livelihoods, especially in sectors that directly affect daily life in the semi-arid region.

“We have come a long way with my boss, Governor Ole Lenku. The people of Kajiado allowed us to serve them because we have an agenda for them on matters of land, education, water coverage and youth empowerment,” he said.

He emphasised that Kajiado, being an ASAL county, continues to face unique developmental challenges, but insisted that the current leadership has laid a strong foundation for transformation.

Focus on service delivery

The Deputy Governor highlighted ongoing efforts to expand water coverage, strengthen education support systems, and empower young people through structured county programmes.

He added that several promises made during their initial campaigns are currently being implemented, with more projects expected to be rolled out to deepen development impact across the county.

“We are an ASAL county, and there are many things we promised the people that we want to bring transformation on,” Moshisho stated.

Call for renewed mandate

Moshisho further suggested that the progress made so far should form the basis for continued leadership, arguing that sustained implementation of development projects requires stability and continuity.

He said the county leadership remains focused on delivering its agenda and ensuring that residents benefit fully from ongoing and planned programmes.

“We are asking for support so that we can continue implementing the agenda we promised the people and complete the transformation we started,” he added.
