Infotrak: 79% of Kenyans aware of Ruto-Raila broad-based government
The Ruto-Raila-founded broad-based government has an awareness rating of 79 per cent nationally.
A report released by Infotrak Research and Consulting on Monday, July 13, 2026, shows that nearly eight out of every 10 Kenyans have heard about the political cooperation between President William Ruto’s Kenya Kwanza administration and Raila Odinga’s Orange Democratic Movement (ODM).
The survey found that only 16 per cent of Kenyans were unaware of the broad-based government arrangement, while six per cent were unsure whether they had heard about it.

Youth lead awareness
Awareness was highest among young Kenyans aged between 18 and 26 years, with 86 per cent saying they knew about the Kenya Kwanza-ODM cooperation.
The figure places young voters at the centre of public awareness about the political deal, despite widespread debate over whether the arrangement adequately represents their interests.
Men also recorded a higher awareness level at 84 per cent, while the report indicated that awareness remained strong across gender and age groups.
Nairobi tops regions
Nairobi recorded the highest regional awareness at 84 per cent.
Infotrak said awareness remained above 70 per cent in all regions, including Central, Coast, Eastern, North Eastern, Rift Valley, Western and Nyanza.

The findings indicate that the broad-based government has gained national visibility beyond the political strongholds traditionally associated with Ruto and Raila.
Ruto-Raila deal
The broad-based government emerged from cooperation between Kenya Kwanza and ODM following talks between Ruto and Raila.
The arrangement led to the appointment of senior ODM figures to Cabinet and other government positions as the two political camps pushed a message of national unity and political stability.
However, the high awareness level does not show whether Kenyans support or oppose the arrangement.

The Infotrak question only sought to establish whether respondents had heard about the broad-based government.
The survey involved 3,000 respondents drawn from across the country.
Infotrak asked participants whether they had heard about the broad-based government, which it described as cooperation between Kenya Kwanza and ODM.
