By , September 10, 2025

Nairobi Woman Representative Esther Passaris has lauded President William Ruto’s three years in office, describing his leadership as one that has taken bold steps to address corruption while steering the country through difficult political and economic times.

In a statement on her X account on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, Passaris congratulated the President for what she termed remarkable milestones since assuming office in 2022. She particularly singled out the administration’s stance on graft as a defining element of his leadership.

“Congratulations, President William Ruto, on marking 3 years in office as the President of the beautiful Republic of Kenya,” Passaris wrote.

Passaris emphasised that the government’s action against corruption was one of the clearest markers of progress. She noted that the President had taken steps to confront graft head-on, a challenge that has persisted across successive administrations.

She added that the creation of mechanisms to address grievances from citizens affected by political unrest was equally significant.

“From delivering on affordable housing, stabilising year-to-year inflation, and supporting Kenyan sports like never before, to curbing corruption, setting up a panel of experts to compensate families of victims of demonstrations, all while working to lower the cost of living, and improving healthcare standards, your leadership has steered the country through remarkable milestones,” Passaris stated.

Economic reforms and social support

The Nairobi Woman Rep further pointed to reforms in key sectors, including efforts to tame inflation and initiatives to reduce the cost of living. She highlighted the President’s delivery on affordable housing and improvements in healthcare as tangible results being felt by Kenyans.

She also commended the renewed focus on sports, saying it was restoring hope and opportunities for many young people across the country.

Call for unity moving forward

Passaris acknowledged that the presidency is a difficult task, especially against a backdrop of political divisions and heightened expectations from citizens. She said the head of state had managed to keep the country on course despite these hurdles.

“Being President is no easy task, especially in the midst of a volatile political climate,” she wrote.

Passaris concluded her message by urging Kenyans to play their part in supporting the administration to achieve more in the remaining years of Ruto’s term. “I look forward to seeing what the next two years will bring, and I urge all of us to support the President in our own spheres,” she added.

Her statement comes as the country reflects on the impact of the government’s policies since 2022, with debates intensifying on the achievements and challenges of the Ruto administration.
