ANC to unveil its ‘political friends’ in tomorrow’s ‘earthquake’ NDC
The Amani National Congress (ANC) party Secretariat has announced that the party’s much-hyped grand National Delegates Congress (NDC), which the party leader Musalia Mudavadi has described as an imminent earthquake in Kenyan politics, will also be attended by its key friends ahead of the August general election.
Speaking at the Bomas of Kenya on Saturday, January 22, Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala said that the party will unveil its political friends adding that all Kenyans are invited to the event save for the party’s competitors.
“We have invited all Kenyans of goodwill but we have not invited our competitors. It must be very clear that this NDC is for ANC and her friends.
“We have not invited any of our competitors because we are alive to the fact that we are going into a battle that requires us to prepare enough to handle our opponents and we cannot call them in our strategy meeting,” Malala said.
On his part, the party’s Secretary General (SC) Simon Kamau said ANC will launch its manifesto at the event where party leader Musalia Mudavadi is expected to officially launch his bid for the country’s top seat.
“We are going to launch our manifesto tomorrow. And it will be based on five pillars: Uchumi Bora, Ugatuzi Bora, Uhusiano Bora, Uongozi Bora na Pesa Mfukoni kwa kila mwananchi,” Kamau said.
The SC further asked other political players not to meddle into their internal affairs by trying to matchmake alliances for ANC.
“And I would want to also let you know that His Excellency Musalia Mudavadi and the party has come to the decision that let nobody choose friends for us. And if you have a problem with anybody don’t assume that we have a problem with them,” he added.
