State House holds thanksgiving prayer service to celebrate Uhuru’s 10-year tenure
State House Kenya on Sunday, July 24 held a thanksgiving prayer and worship service to celebrate President Uhuru Kenyatta’s 10-year tenure.
The interfaith service was held at State House Nairobi Gardens.
The church service was attended by First Lady Margaret Kenyatta and all staff from all State Houses and State Lodges led by Comptroller of State House Mr Kinuthia Mbugua and Chief of Staff in the Office of the First Lady Constance Gakonyo.

Bishop Abraham Mulwa of the African Inland Church delivered the sermon at the service that was also attended by several senior government officials including Head of Public Service Joseph Kinyua, Gender Cabinet Secretary Prof Margaret Kobia and Nairobi Metropolitan Services (NMS) Director General Mohamed Badi.
In his message to Uhuru, Bishop Mulwa urged the outgoing Head of State to never tire of doing good.
“You’re a victor. You’re all victors. Don’t be held back by your doubters. You’ve done well. Move on with your heads held high, and never be afraid to offer yourselves again for the service and prosperity of your country. Don’t tire,” Bishop Mulwa said.

Uhuru endorses Raila
Uhuru will be proceeding to retirement in less than three weeks.
A general election to elect new leadership has been slated for August 9, 2022.
The President has endorsed Raila Odinga of the Azimio – One Kenya coalition for the presidency in a contest that has attracted four candidates including Uhuru’s deputy William Ruto.
