2022 polls: Sakaja sets date for manifesto launch
By evans.maritim, July 20, 2022United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Nairobi gubernatorial seat candidate Johnson Sakaja and his running mate Njoroge Muchiri will launch their manifesto on Thursday, July 21.
“It’s about time #LetsMakeNairobiWork,” Sakaja captioned the announcement poster on his Facebook page on Wednesday, July 20.
The manifesto launch will be live on one of the local television stations and the Senator’s social media pages.
Sakaja has been battling court cases relating to his academic qualifications.
He has since been allowed by the court to run for the seat.
Sakaja pledges

Sakaja has pledged goodies to Nairobi residents in the manifesto.
“I am glad that I have been vindicated since I am qualified to run for the seat and so we shall continue with our campaigns and launch our manifesto,” he said.
Should he win the seat in 19 days, he will divide Nairobi into four quarters to decentralize the county’s leadership.
The quarters will be East, West, North, and South and will be headed by city managers.
“I will appoint city managers to deal with the specific needs of every part of the city. Once Nairobi works, Kenya works.
“Nairobi will work if we step up accountability, take delivery one step lower, and ensure availability of resources,” Sakaja said in a past interview.
He will be battling out for the seat with Jubilee Party’s Polycarp Igathe, among other four candidates.
