Jubilee Party parliamentary candidate for Thika Town Constituency David Kariuki Ngari alias Gakuyo now wants Deputy President William Ruto and his troops to prepare for a resounding defeat in the August 9 polls.

Gakuyo says the entrance of Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka to the Azimio la Umoja – One Kenya coalition is evidence that Kenya Kwanza will be defeated in the polls that are less than 70 days away.

Speaking at Gatuanyaga Ward on June 3 while awarding Ksh1 million bursary cheques to students from poor families, Gakuyo upheld that Kalonzo’s comeback fills the votes basket required for Raila Odinga to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta.

“They are now in panic mode after Kalonzo rejoined the team. The circuit is now complete and the best they should do is brace for defeat,” he said.

Gakuyo maintained that Ruto has no numbers to warrant a win in the August polls and urged him and his team to accept defeat when Odinga will be declared the winner.

Kalonzo rejoined Azimio on June 2 after a season of introspection and soul searching.

In his statement, Kalonzo argued that he had accepted to be Odinga’s government chief minister after advice from professionals and clerics from his Ukambani region.
