Wiper Party Leader Kalonzo Musyoka on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, held talks with German Ambassador to Kenya Sebastian Groth at the SKM Command Centre.

During the meeting, the two discussed and shared their perspectives on bilateral relations to bolster economic ties.

The two also discussed the country’s political situation.

“It was a pleasure hosting @GermanyinKenya Ambassador HE Sebastian Groth at the SKM Command Centre this afternoon. We discussed and shared our perspectives on bilateral relations as well as the current political situation in Kenya. I look forward to our continued engagement,” Kalonzo shared.

CS Ogamba meets Amb Groth

The meeting comes a day after the ambassador met Education Cabinet Secretary (CS) Julius Migos Ogamba to discuss ways to strengthen existing partnerships in education and employment.

Also present in the meeting was German parliament member Dr. Christoph Hoffmann, Principal Secretary for Higher Education and Research Dr Beatrice Muganda Inyangala and Principal Secretary for TVET Dr Esther Thaara Muoria.

The discussion also focused on deepening and expanding already existing bilateral ties.

“Today I held a meeting with the German Ambassador to Kenya, H.E Sebastian Groth and Hon. Dr. Christoph Hoffmann, member of the German Parliament,” Ogamba said in a statement posted on January 20, 2025, on his X account.

“Kenya and Germany enjoy long-standing bilateral relations in the field of education. We have worked together to improve infrastructure in our educational institutions, capacity building of teachers, provision of scholarships, fostering STEM Education and in the creation of employment opportunities for Kenyan youth.”
