‘Stick to Nadco dialogues with Ruto’- ODM MP Caleb Amisi tells Raila to keep off Gen Z revolution

Saboti Member of Parliament (MP) Caleb Amisi has told Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya leader Raila Odinga to keep off the Gen Z revolution.

Taking to his official X account on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) lawmaker said Raila needs to be guided by people who surround him.

According to Amisi, most people surrounding Raila have used and dumped him.

“Our Raila Odinga needs to be guided by people who surround him. I think people have sacked through blood of Baba and dumped him for far too long,” Amisi said.

Amisi on Gen Z revolution

Amisi went ahead to state that Raila did not start the Gen Z revolution and should therefore keep off.

The lawmaker says the Gen Zs have appreciated Raila for his contribution towards a better Kenya, and that he should relax and let them finish the journey for him.

“Raila did not start the Gen Z revolution. The Gen Z appreciated his contribution to the nation and told him to relax they will finish the journey for him,” Amisi stated.

Amisi went ahead to state that Raila should concentrate with the National Dialogue Committee (NADCO) report in his discussions with President William Ruto.

He further encouraged the Gen Zs to continue pushing for President Ruto’s resignation.

“They have not even reached the banks of river Jordan. Dialogues of Baba with Ruto is on NADCO report and not on Genz revolution. I suggest to Gen Z to activate their missiles, projectiles, rockets, robots and all the modern nuclear arsenal and assemble in big numbers to ask #RutoMustGo . Period!” Amisi pointed out.

Raila on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, faced criticism after announcing that he has agreed to have a dialogue with President Ruto to discuss the current crisis facing the nation.

Raila and Ruto agreed to commence a six-day multi-sectorial forum which is set to begin on Monday, July 15, and end on Saturday, July 20, 2024 to foster national dialogue and seek lasting solutions to Kenya’s pressing issues following the Gen Z-driven anti-taxation protests.
