AFC Leopards have officially announced the squad number for their new signing, the highly regarded midfielder Kelly Madada, who completed his transfer during the January window.

The club revealed that Madada will don the jersey number 88 as he embarks on his journey with the team.

Madada joined the Leopards in the final days of the transfer window, committing to a long-term deal with the 1998 Premier League champions.

He was among the four new signings brought in by Ingwe during the recently concluded mid-season transfer window.

Madada was acquired from Mathare Flames Sportive after a disputed ownership claim between the club and Green Commandos.

Kennedy Odhiambo, a defender who played a crucial role in Posta Rangers’ first-leg performance, also joined the team, along with Christopher Koloti, who was recruited from Green Commandos to strengthen the frontline.

AFC Leopards also secured the services of Rwandan forward Arthur Gitego from Marines FC.

Madada’s move to Leopards follows an impressive track record in high school competitions, where he played a pivotal role in helping Shanderema qualify for the National School Games and later contributed to securing a slot in the East African Games during the National games.

Currently, Madada is with the squad in Kakamega preparing for the upcoming derby against Kakamega Homeboyz. AFC Leopards, currently unbeaten in seven matches, have clinched victory in their last five consecutive matches.
