NSL review, standings after round 14 matches
Naivas extended their lead at the summit of the standings with a 1-0 triumph over Mombasa Elite FC last Saturday.
Having played 14 matches, Naivas now command the league with an impressive tally of 32 points, comprising 10 victories, two draws, and just one defeat.
NSL top four
Mathare United, in the second position, dropped points days after suffering their second loss of the season.
They settled for a 2-2 draw against Kibera Blacks on Saturday, picking a point to move to a total of 30 points from nine wins and three draws.
Kisumu All Stars clinched a 2-0 victory over Darajani Gogo, propelling them to the fourth spot, tied on points with Mara Sugar FC, who hold the third position with 27 points.
Mara Sugar boast a superior goal difference, securing third place on the log after beating Nairobi United 2-0.
Luanda Villa and Nairobi United share 23 points, but United have a game in hand. Villa climbed to the fifth spot after a 1-0 win over SS Assad on Sunday.
Migori Youth secured a narrow 2-1 victory against Gusii FC at Cardinal Otunga, moving to the seventh position. Despite having a game in hand, they share the same points with Darajani Gogo, who played 14 matches.
NSL 9-11
Kibera Black Stars, Dimba Patriots, and SS Assad are all tied for positions 9-11 with 17 points each, while Coast Stima holds the 12th position with 16 points.
MCF, Rainbow, and Kajiado reached 15 points following Sunday’s results, displacing Vihiga Bullets, who were in the 14th position on Saturday.
Vihiga Bullets secured an impressive 4-1 victory against Mulembe United FC in a league match played on Saturday, earning them three valuable points and moving them to the 16th position with 14 points from as many matches.
This win allowed Vihiga Bullets to surpass Mulembe United, who currently have 13 points. Silibwet and Modern Coast occupy the bottom slots.
