Big win for Kisumu in NSL, Migori, Bullets eye wins in Sunday fixtures
Kisumu All-Stars secured the biggest results in the National Super League (NSL) in Saturday’s fixtures, defeating Mara Sugar 5-2 at Awendo Green Stadium.
This win propelled Kisumu All-Stars to the fourth position in the standings with 21 points, having won six matches, drawn three, and lost three.
All Stars climb in NSL
The team is now eight points behind the league leaders, Mathare United.
Despite faltering at home with a 2-0 loss to Naivas FC at Ruaraka Grounds, Mathare United maintain their top spot with 29 points.
They have won nine matches, drawn two, and suffered one loss in the Super League.
Naivas FC, who ended Mathare United’s unbeaten run in FKF NSL, now occupy the second position with 26 points after winning eight of their last 11 matches and experiencing one loss this season.
In other Saturday matches, Nairobi United secured a 2-1 victory over Mombas Stars, SS Assad beat Silibwet Leons 2-1, and MCF played to a goalless draw against Rainbow FC.
NSL Sunday action
Sunday’s schedule includes four matches starting from 1:00 p.m. At Awendo Green Stadium, Migori Youth FC will face Dimba Patriots FC.
Mulembe United FC will play against Gusii FC in an early kickoff match at Mumias Sports Complex.
Mombasa Elite FC will host Vihiga Bullets FC at Mbaraki Sports Club from 3:00 p.m. Meanwhile, at Ildamat Stadium, Kajiado FC will face Kibera Black Stars.
