Kakamega Homeboyz chairman Cleophas Shimanyula has backed his side to inflict champions Gor Mahia with their first defeat of the season when the two sides face off in an FKF Premier League fixture on Sunday.

K’Ogalo, who are sitting joint-top of the 18-team table with Posta Rangers on seven points from three matches, will travel to Western Kenya for the match day four fixture at Bukhungu Stadium and according to the outspoken Shimanyula, K’Ogalo’s unbeaten start to the 2023-24 campaign will come to an end.

“We will break Gor Mahia’s unbeaten start to the season, it will be a thing of the past by the end of 90 minutes on Sunday, and you can take that to any bank for a loan,” Shimanyula told People Sports.

Adding: “My boys are good to go now after a poor start to the season, they have rediscovered their rhythm of play and Gor Mahia will have a very long day at Bukhungu.”
