Bungoma Governor Kenneth Lusaka has promised the local Muslim community that he will fulfill his campaign promise to include them in his government.
Speaking when he hosted Muslim leaders in his office, Lusaka said he would form an all-inclusive government “where all regions will be included.”
Lusaka pledged to appoint a Muslim cleric as a liaison officer to handle religious issues. “We will have one of the Imams to coordinate matters of religion in my government,” said Lusaka.
He, at the same time, promised to employ Muslim youth in abattoirs on casual basis in line with Muslim practices.
