Kilukumi disowns fake Twitter account
Senior Counsel Kioko Kilukumi has distanced himself from a twitter account that bears his name.
Kilukumi who will represent President Elect William Ruto in the Presidential Election Petition denied holding any twitter account.
The said twitter account has been holding commentaries regarding the presidential elections.
Yesterday when Azimio La Umoja filed the petition and brought in over 40 boxes disputing the Presidential Elections, the said twitter account wrote “I will respond to all these, in just one two-page booklet.”
Kilukumi however denies writing the said quote and maintains that he does not have any social media presence.
Kilukumi will represent Ruto alongside outgoing Tharaka Nithi Senator Kithure Kindiki, Lawyer Nelson Havi who unsuccessfully contested for the Westlands parliamentary seat, Katwa Kigen and Muthomi Thiankolu.
In the petition filed by Azimio La Umoja Presidential Candidate Raila Odinga, it seeks 23 reliefs including nullification of the Presidential Election, an order for inspection of IEBC servers and scrutiny of the rejected and spoilt votes.
The Coalition also wants IEBC to be compelled to organize a fresh presidential election in strict conformity with the Constitution and Elections’ Act and which should not be presided over by the IEBC Chairman Wafula Chebukati.
Odinga and his running mate Martha Karua also wants Director of Criminal Investigations George Kinoti summoned to the supreme court to produce statements, photographs, reports, equipment, laptops, phones and other gadgets and any other material connected/related to the conduct of the elections and found in possession of the Venezuela nationals arrested at JKIA.
The petition will be determined by the seven judges of the Supreme Court, led by Chief Justice and President of the Supreme Court Martha Koome.
Others are Lady Justices Philomena Mbete Mwilu (Deputy Chief Justice and Vice President of the Supreme Court), Njoki Susanna Ndung’u, Justices Mohamed Khadhar Ibrahim, Dr Smokin Wanjala and Isaac Lenaola.
