AFC Leopards forward Victor Omune emerged as the star of the club’s Gala Night, hosted by Branch 45 Unit.
Omune, who played a pivotal role in the team’s performance over the season, was honoured with two prestigious awards: Player of the Season and Players’ Player of the Season. He earned cash rewards of Ksh75,000 and Ksh100,000, respectively.

Throughout the 2023/24 campaign, Omune featured in 29 matches, clocking 1440 minutes on the pitch.
He scored eight goals and provided three assists, contributing significantly to the team’s 14 wins and eight draws.
His standout performances earned him accolades over strong contenders including captain Clifton Miheso, Kaycie Odhiambo, and Vincent Mahiga.
Kaycie Odhiambo was also celebrated, receiving the Fan’s Player of the Season award. Odhiambo’s remarkable contribution was evident as he appeared in 33 matches, amassing 2881 minutes.
He helped the Leopards secure 14 victories and 11 draws, adding three goals and three assists to his name.
Looking ahead, AFC Leopards have bolstered their squad with four new signings as they prepare for the upcoming season.
The club has signed South Sudan national team captain Peter Maker Manyang Mabok, Julius Masaba, Samuel Semo, and Sydney Lokale. These additions are expected to enhance the team’s performance and drive them towards success in the 2024/25 season.
AFC Leopards will kick off their new campaign against newly promoted Mathare United on Sunday, August 25, 2024. The new signings are anticipated to play a key role in the team’s quest for silverware in the forthcoming season.
