Beyond the cash prizes, the tournament ensured all participating teams at the quarterfinal stage were rewarded, with each receiving full sets of jerseys and new boots, reinforcing the competition’s commitment to nurturing grassroots talent.

The 2025 edition of Waziri 1X Cup spanned four counties: Uasin Gishu, Kakamega, Trans Nzoia and Bungoma, bringing together diverse communities through sport. In addition to football, the event also featured basketball and rugby matches, expanding opportunities for youth participation across multiple disciplines.

Of pitch impact

Off the pitch, the tournament left a strong humanitarian footprint. Organisers donated 50 wheelchairs to persons with disabilities, helped establish a car wash business for a youth group, provided food to 1,500 needy families and equipped 3,000 girls with sanitary towels, cementing the event’s broader social mission.

Speaking while unveiling the 2025 tourney in October 2025, Elena Zhdanova, 1xBet’s regional representative, reaffirmed the sponsor’s long-term commitment:
“1xBet supports systemic change in the sports ecosystem. The Waziri 1xCup season showcases talent, raises the visibility of teams, and strengthens communities through education, safety initiatives, and access to sport for both women and men.”

Tournament organiser Salim Waziri emphasised inclusion and sustainability: “Our goal this season is a high-quality bracket, strong participation of women’s teams, and a visible social impact. Together with 1xBet, we are setting the right pace and organisational standards.”
