FKF Women Premier League side, Trans-Nzoia Falcons, has been thrown into mourning following the death of experienced defender Marvell Simiyu – the club confirmed.

The club announced that the centre-back died on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, while undergoing treatment at Webuye hospital in Bungoma.

“It’s with great sadness Trans Nzoia Falcons FC report the tragic loss of one of our senior players Marvell Simiyu who passed away on Tuesday night at Webuye hospital,” the club announced on Wednesday morning.

“Our prayers are with his family friends and teammates at this time, rest in peace”, the statement further reads.

Condolences for Trans Nzoia Falcons defender

Football stakeholders have taken to social media to express their condolences to the FKF premier league side and the family of the deceased footballer.

Terry Engesha of Hyundai Steel Red Angels, Kenya Footballers Welfare Association, Misikhu United, and Kayole starlets are among those who penned down their condolences.
