Swamibapa defeated Ngara Sports Club after setting a score total of 86/2 in 9.1 overs as the Nairobi Invitational Cricket League 50-over continued despite rain challenges.

In the opening innings, Ngara had four players on double digits with Shamil Patel (19 off 31 balls) leading their line with three boundaries to his name thereby powering them to a 96/10 in 29.5 overs score total on the board at break of innings in a weather affected match.

Three bowlers from bigwigs Swami (James Ngoche, Jadavji Bhimji and Rakesh Kahar) picked two wickets apiece as Ngara fell apart with none of their players even getting a score of 20 on the board.

On resumption, Swamibapa had to make do with several breaks in between to put in decent scores.

Rakesh Kahar (53 off 27 balls) emerged top scorer for his side with his contribution including five boundaries and four sixes.
