Local rugby league Kenya cup will resume this weekend after the break for the festive season with match day five action on Saturday.
Six fixtures are lined up with teams gearing up to gel in and sharpen key areas of their game plays after the festivities.
Top log leaders KCB RFC are scheduled to face Kenyatta University Blak Blad at the Ruaraka Sports club with the Curtis Olago-coached side going to the game with 20 points accumulated after four games played.
Second-placed Nakuru-based side Menengai Oilers have a date with rivals Nakuru RFC in an all-Nakuru derby.
The Gibson Weru-coached side comes in second having accumulated nineteen points and played all four fixtures in which they have come out victorious.
Kenya cup defending champions Kabras Sugar will be at home against Homeboyz RFC at the Kakamega ASK grounds.
The Sugarmen are in the third position with nineteens points but with a point, the difference compared to the Oilers.
Varsity side Strathmore Leos will tackle Mwamba RFC at the Madaraka grounds with Catholic Monks scheduled to play Ngong road-based Kenya Harlequins at the CUEA grounds.
Harlequins are one position shy from the relegation zone and a win for the Paul Murunga-coached side will be important for the team as they seek to qualify for the playoffs.
Mwamba RFC and varsity side Kenyatta University Blak Blad close the top five positions with the University of Nairobi Mean Machine and Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) currently occupy the relegation zone with both teams yet to post any wins this season.
MMUST and Mean Machine are scheduled to tackle each other at the UON grounds.
