Thomas Silko had been without a club after his release by Chelsea at the conclusion of the 2022-2023 season. He initially joined Leicester City as a trialist before earning a permanent spot.

Primarily a right-winger, Silko’s journey in football began when he joined Chelsea as an Under 10 player, where he spent nearly a decade before being deemed surplus to requirements.

In July, the 19-year-old had a brief trial period with Sunderland, but the move to the Black Cats did not materialize.

Silko boasts an impressive youth career, including a Premier League Runner-up medal in 2020/2021, FA Youth Cup Runner-up in 2019/2020, and a U18 Premier League Cup Winner in 2021/2022.

He has already made three appearances for Leicester, accumulating 213 minutes on the field and scoring one goal.

In contrast, his playing time was limited at Chelsea last season, with only six appearances totalling 42 minutes.

Silko Amari’s busy season

His busiest season at Chelsea was in 2020/2021 when he made 19 appearances for Chelsea Under 18, accumulating a total of 1411 minutes.
