Instrumentalist, producer, and vocalist Savara Mudigi, on Saturday, August 2, 2025, presented a yet-to-be-released African Nations Championship (CHAN) anthem to Harambee Stars players.

In a statement, Savara confirmed he was part of a team that had composed the official anthem for CHAN 2024, titled “Pamoja.”

The track features Ugandan sensation Elijah Kitaka and Tanzanian star Phina, bringing together talent from across East Africa.

The multi-talented musician is set to perform the song immediately after its release as part of the festivities for the continental showpiece.

“Honoured to meet and vibe with the national team Harambee Stars and present to them the official CHAN ANTHEM dropping soon. The song features,” Savara’s statement read in part.

The latest CHAN anthem is part of Savara’s continued bonding with the national football team. During a FIFA World Cup qualifier match between Kenya and Gabon on March 23, 2025, he performed the Kenyan national anthem. The performance took place at the Nyayo National Stadium in Nairobi, in front of a sold-out crowd.

Savara, a member of the band Sauti Sol, described the experience as “spiritual and unifying.”

Bien meets players

On Monday, July 28, 2025, fellow musician Bien visited Harambee Stars camp to cheer them on as the continental games begin. Bien, who posed with the squad, also donned the team’s official jersey during the brief session at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani.

“The President of the Bald Man Association, Bien Aimé, met up with us today and we agreed all our enemies must suffer this #TotalEnergiesCHAN2024,” Harambee Stars statement read.

Harambee Stars face an uphill task from the start of the Championship as they lock horns against a tricky side of DR Congo on Sunday, August 3, 2025, at the refurbished Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani, at 3:00 pm.

Each player will be seeking to walk away with Ksh1 million if they cruise past DRC in their CHAN opener, according to President William Ruto’s promise.
