Rolf Kihara was in an imperious form as he clinched all heats of the MX-1 Class in the fourth round of the National Motocross Championship Sunday at the Jamhuri race track against a strong opposition.

In what was the highlight class of the day, Kihara saw off tight competition from Mikhail Berman and Walter Kuria on the tracks with precision, speed and discipline. 

The opening heat was a real battle especially between Kihara and Berman who  took each other on in the speed bends with the former quicker on the straight pace.

Kihara ensured he had his nose ahead particularly from the start line and used his skills to put at the back his challengers including Kuria who was also posing a threat.

In the second and third heats, it was all about putting together good times and ensuring all danger is put aside.

Kihara was again sublime in his performance with his bike being on point. 

Berman had a miss-start in the second heat and was overtaken by Walter Kuria who had an improved outing with his biggest asset being quick lapping in the 16 laps on the tracks.

However Kihara proved too strong all the way to the last heat to amass 60 points with the race for the championship on his mind. 

Berman finished runner-up overall with 49 points and Kuria closed out the podium with 45 points.

Meanwhile in the MX-85 Class, Tanav Choda and Natalie Cherono were the toast of the tie in another exciting battle. The future stars were bullish and went all out as they fought for points.   

 Choda who ended up first after winning all heats, however, had to look behind his shoulder all through despite his machine being in supreme pace. 

Cherono was pushing well all through but was unfortunate no to get a proper chance to pass her nemesis in the Championship.

In the Veterans/Masters Class, the oldguard also showed their worth in their huge bikes. Toben Rune topped all heats  amassing 60 points. 

His immediate challenger, Moses Mugo was a near second after a good push picking 51 points in the process.
