Posta Rangers striker jokes about scoring against former teams

By , July 9, 2025

Posta Rangers FC talisman Felix Mboya Oluoch has spoken out over his penchant to score against his former employers, terming it a timely reminder of his goal-scoring prowess.

Taking to his social media on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, the left-footed attacker revealed that he enjoyed getting on the score sheets against his former teams, a feat he achieved several times in the just concluded campaign.

Mboya, who has been in the books of coastal-based club Bandari FC and Kariobangi Sharks, ranked among the league’s most potent attackers as the 2025 season ended.

“Scoring against your former team hits different. They knew what I could do. I just reminded them,” he stated.

The striker must have plenty of occasions to savour the moments, especially when he bagged a double against Kariobangi Sharks in the 2024/25 season.

During the tie, Mboya scored via a well-taken goal as Posta battled to a 2-2 draw against Sharks in Dandora.

His first during the match, a low drilled shot as the Mailmen levelled matters in the 27th minute, before he sent a dagger through the Sharks faithful with a late headed goal to seal a dramatic 2-2 draw in the tie.

The strike saw him continue his knack for scoring goals, having entered the game on an impressive run of two goals in his last three games.

He also achieved the same feat of scoring against his former employers in a game against Bandari FC.

Speaking on his overall season that ended with Sammy Omolo’s charges salvaging their top-flight status with a win over Naivas FC in the promotion play-off a week ago, Mboya, who notched a brace in the first-leg meeting to set the FKF PL side on course, expressed his elation with survival.

 2025 run

“A season full of ups and downs. Faced challenges, stayed focused, and kept pushing. In the end, we conquered. Proud of the journey, grateful for the fight,” he said.

The attacker left Sharks in July 2022 before signing for Bandari for the following season.

He later switched camps to join Posta Rangers for the 2024/25 season.
