Kenya Police, Posta Rangers qualify for FKF Cup round of 32

Kenya Police and Posta Rangers have successfully advanced to the second round of the FKF Cup following their victories in the preliminary round matches on Saturday.
Posta Rangers secured their spot in the next round with a 2-0 win over Wisdom Soccer Academy. Brian Marita’s brace in the 57th and 74th minutes at the Ndura Sports Complex sealed the victory for the mailmen.
FKF Cup dominance
Meanwhile, Kenya Police dominated their match in Naivasha, with Tito Okello scoring in the 1st minute and Samuel Onyango adding another goal in the 46th minute, securing their place in the next round.
Sunday is expected to bring more football excitement as FKF regional side Eldoro Sports Club faces Mombasa Stars at Wundanyi Stadium.
Simultaneously, Marafiki is set to meet FC Talanta at Kinunga Stadium in Nyeri, and Bungoma Stars will compete against FKF Premier League side Bandari at Sudi Stadium. Al Azizia is scheduled to tackle Luanda Villa at Kinoru Stadium.
The winners of these preliminary clashes will advance to the Round of 32, scheduled for February 24-25, 2024.
Subsequently, the Round of 16 is set for March 30–31, 2024, followed by the quarterfinals on April 27 and 28, 2024. The semi-finals are scheduled for May 25 and 26, 2024, leading to the finals on June 6, 2024.
In addition to securing bragging rights, the champions will earn a coveted CAF Confederation Cup slot along with a significant cash prize.
