Kenyan tennis sensation Angela Okutoyi is on the verge of making history after she and her partner Rose Marie Nijkamp of the Netherlands defeated Ciric Bagaric and Nikola Daubnerova 2-0 (3-6,4-6) to qualify for the Wimbledon Open girls double final.
The one and a half hour match started slow for the dynamic duo and they rose to the occasion to win by straight sets.
On Thursday evening, Okutoyi and Nijkamp outmuscled Czech duo of Linda Klimovicova and Dominika Salkova 2-1 (6-7, 6-4, 11-9) to make it to the semis.

Okutoyi, 18, was the Kenyan to play at the Wimbledon Open and had never played on grass until last week, so a 6-3, 6-2 loss to Canadian Mia Kupres in the opening round of the girls singles on Saturday was a nice experience.
In January the teenage sensation reached the juniors’ third round at the Australian Open and later participated in the Roland Garos.
