The highly anticipated World Kick-boxing Federation Kenya Extreme Combat Sports Federation National Team Selection Qualifiers Championship, originally slated for last Saturday at Nakuru’s Madison Square Garden, has been rescheduled.
The announcement was made by WKF-Kenya’s Extreme Combat Sports Federation President, Japheth Yahuma (Takid Master), reverberating across all their social media platforms.
“The decision to postpone the event was necessitated by the simultaneous occurrence of the Boxing Federation of Kenya National League 3 at the same venue from November 16th to 18th,” said Takid Master.
“This scheduling conflict prompted organizers to make the strategic move of pushing back the WKF Kenya qualifiers to November 25th, ensuring that combat sports enthusiasts can fully immerse themselves in both thrilling events,” he added.
Meanwhile, the qualifiers promise an inclusive and competitive atmosphere, welcoming both male and female contenders across various categories seeking to feature for the national sides. For men, there will be an impressive lineup of 12 weight categories, while women will engage in 8 weight categories.
Additionally, young talents from all other genders will have the opportunity to showcase their skills, contributing to the diverse and dynamic nature of the championship.
As the second last event in the WKF Kenya Extreme Combat Sports Federation’s 2023 calendar, the qualifiers hold significant weight in determining the national team.
Participants and fans alike are gearing up for a spectacular showcase of skill, strength, and sportsmanship.
With the new date set for November 25th, enthusiasts now have an extended period of anticipation, building excitement for what is sure to be a memorable day in the world of extreme combat sports.
As the countdown begins, all eyes are on Nakuru County, awaiting the clash of titans and the emergence of the finest athletes who will proudly represent Kenya on the national stage.
