According to the schedule released by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) on Tuesday, October 4, 2025, the competition’s debutants will kick off their campaign on Sunday, November 23, 2025, with a tough away clash against Wydad AC in Casablanca. The Moroccans, who boast vast continental experience, will provide an early test for the Kenyan side in what promises to be an electrifying opener.

The Nicholas Muyoti-coached team will then return home a week later, on Sunday, November 30, 2025, to host AS Maniema Union at the Nyayo National Stadium. Naibois will be looking to capitalise on home advantage and secure vital points before heading into the mid-season break.

After a short recess, the Kenyan club resumes action on January 25, 2026, with another home fixture against Azam FC from Tanzania, a regional rivalry that is expected to draw a large crowd. The return leg follows shortly on February 1, 2026, when Nairobi United travel to Dar es Salaam for what could be a decisive tie in their quest for qualification.

On February 8, 2026, Nairobi United hosts Wydad AC in Nairobi for a return leg. The group stage will conclude on February 15, 2026, when the Kenyans face AS Maniema Union away in DR Congo.

Balanced group

Meanwhile, with a balanced mix of regional and North African opponents, Nairobi United face a challenging path in their debut season; however, the Sportpesa League club will be seeking to make history in their debut CAF Confederation Cup appearance.

Nairobi United made a windfall after becoming the first-ever Kenyan team to qualify for the CAF Confederation Cup group stage on their debut appearance. The Nairobi-based side edged out Tunisia’s Etoile du Sahel 7–6 on penalties in Sousse on Sunday evening, October 26, 2025, after a 2–2 aggregate draw over the two legs, as the last Kenyan club to reach the Confederation Cup stage was Gor Mahia in 2018.

After making history in Tunisia, Nairobi United have earned a total of Ksh58.1 million as part of CAF prize money, with Ksh6.4 million for qualifying for the preliminary round and an additional Ksh51.7 million for reaching the group stage.
