FKF bans Migori Stadium, KCB awarded points after Muhoroni chaos
By Joel Sang, October 11, 2023Football Kenya Federation Premier League side Muhoroni Youth have been fined following the chaos that erupted on Monday, October 9, 2023, at the Muhoroni Stadium.
Fan trouble was witnessed as the game between Muhoroni Youth and KCB was about to end, and the match officials consequently called it off.
The Leagues and Competitions Committee has now arrived at a decision that fined Muhoroni Youth and awarded KCB points.
Decision
“The FKF Leagues and Competitions Committee, having reviewed the submissions from Muhoroni Youth FC and KCB FC, as well as Migori Youth FC and Darajani Gogo FC, along with the reports provided by the match officials, has made the following decisions regarding the FKF Premier League: Match No 53 (Muhoroni Youth vs KCB FC) and FKF National Super League Match No 37 (Migori Youth vs Darajani Gogo) due to crowd-related incidents,” FKF said in a statement.
Apart from getting two points, KCB, who were leading 1-0 before the match ended, have been given a two-goal advantage.
“The match is awarded to KCB FC, granting them 3 points and a 2-goal advantage.
“Muhoroni Stadium is suspended from hosting the next five (5) Muhoroni Youth FC home matches, which shall be played behind closed doors,” the statement added.
Moreover, Muhoroni Youth chairman Moses Adagala has also been slapped with a short-term stadium ban.
“Mr. Moses Adagala, Chairperson of Muhoroni Youth FC, is banned from attending the next three (3) Muhoroni Youth matches. Muhoroni Youth FC are required to pay a fine of Ksh 300,000,” it added.
Migori Youth punished
In the National Super League match that pitted Migori Youth and Darajani Gogo, the former were directed to pay their rivals following the destruction of property.

“The full-time result of the match shall remain as Migori Youth FC 1, Darajani Gogo FC 0. Migori Stadium is prohibited from hosting the next five (5) Migori Youth FC home matches, which will be played behind closed doors.
“Migori Youth FC is directed to pay Darajani Gogo FC for the damaged iPhone 14 and media equipment, and reimburse medical expenses incurred within fourteen days (14) of this decision.
“Migori Youth FC are obliged to pay a fine of Ksh200,000,” the League and Competitions Committee directed.
