Media partnership to give Kenyans taste of World Cup

Football enthusiasts in Kenya are in for a treat when the 2022 Fifa World Cup kicks off in Qatar next month.
AFS International, in partnership with FIFA, has announced the launch of the official FIFA-branded public viewing events of the FIFA World Cup 2022.
This will entail the screening of 28 World Cup matches in seven Fan Parks across the country.
In turn, AFS International has entered into partnership with Mediamax Network Ltd and Radio Africa Group to organise these unique events.
The partnership allows both Mediamax and Radio Africa to organise the live viewing events to be screened in in Nairobi, Mombasa, Nakuru, Kisumu, Eldoret, Meru and Machakos counties.
The deal will see viewers enjoy watching a total of 28 live viewing events during the period of the global showpiece.
“AFS International, in collaboration with Mediamax Networks and Radio Africa Group have announced the launch of the official Fifa-branded public viewing events of the 2022 Qatar World cup on behalf of Fifa. The public viewings will start on November 20 through to December 18, 2022,” said Mediamax CEO Ken Ngaruiya.”
The events will be hosted in seven fan parks. AFS will work in collaboration with Radio Africa Group and Media Max Network to organize and promote the screenings.
Ngaruiya said huge screens and world-class sound system would be placed at the fan parks to enable viewers at the respective venues where some of the country’s renown celebrities, and political figures are expected to attend.
Entry will be free, but ticketed to make it controlled.
